Hello Lovelies,

I have always liked Empties reviews about used up products and their final verdict. A friend just told me latey that there is not too much beauty content on my blog - so why not change it a little and start a new category. I will incorporate all beauty products not just hair products because I tend to use a product for a long time. I think you will never get a better review than one of a finished product. Please let me know if you would like to read more of these monthly posts :). 

Bionike Proxera Body Emulsion for very dry skin. (20 Euro/200ml) Fragrance free, parabene free, nickel free. I did like the body lotion because it did not give me any allergic reaction like red dots and itchiness. My skin is extremely dry and this body lotion really hydrates all your skin layers without feeling sticky. It is one of the most moisturising lotions I have used so far. It does take a little time to soak in though. It is a little pricy and finishes quickly. It had no fragrance but a slight metallic smell that did bother me though. Repurchase? Maybe.

Balea Ultra Sensitive Intensive cream for very dry skin. (5Euro/50ml) This product is as well formulated for very dry allergic skin. It is very oily and does not moisturise well. Unlike most of my beauty products I was very glad when I used up the tiny tube. It is fragrance free and very neutral. After application of the product my skin felt as if there was a film on top - I have to say I did not like the product at all. I noticed more blemishes as well. Repurchase? Definitely no. 

Yves Rocher Jardins du Monde, California Almond (3Euro/100ml) This showergel has a creamy formula and lathers up very well. It did not cause any allergic reaction and has a very slight fresh smell with a little hint of marzipan. It did not dry out my skin and was very mild. Repurchase? Yes, i already got the Organic Aloe Vera Version ! :)

White Camellia Shampoo (15Euro/11oz) Review here. I simply love the white Camelia Series. The shampoo is very rich so I like to use it when my hair feels especially dry - on the beach or during winter time. I have now switched to a lighter shampoo but I love to have a bottle around whenever I need lots of moisture in my hair. Repurchase? Yes.

GBP Conditioner (15Euro/11oz) Review here. I am still in love with the GBP Series. It is heaven for dry ends and an itchy scalp and the herbal scent is great during summer. The only downside of the series is that it is so rich in protein that you need to alternate every few washes otherwise you will have an protein overload which results in dry ends and straw-like hair. Repurchase? Yes, I think this is my 3rd bottle.

Do you have any recommendations for a good face cream for dry itchy allergy-prone skin? As you can see I am still on the hunt :( .

Review: Aubrey Organic's White Camellia Shampoo

If your hair is as dry as my hair and curly or wavy it is like a special quest to find a shampoo that is not drying out your hair and causing frizz. Aubrey Organic's is my favourite hair care brand and the White Camellia series is especially formulated for very dry hair. I had the conditioner as well and it is for sure one of my favourite conditioners! But be warned that this series is really only something for very dry hair - I don't have european fine hair, my hair is coarse and very thick. This series would be a good choice for women of colour as well, my roommate uses my shampoo on her shoulder length afro from time to time! I like to alternate White Camellia with the GPB Series (one of my favourite's as well! But causes a protein overkill from time to time so you need to alternate anyway). I usually dilute my shampoo, but White Camellia needs to be used pure otherwise my hair does not get clean.

INCI: Aqua, glycerin, decyl glucoside, sodium cocoyl hydrolyzed soy protein, oryza sativa extract*, prunus amygdalus dulcis oil*, camellia japonica seed oil*, glucose, xanthan gum, simmondsia chinensis seed oil*, rosa rubiginosa seed oil*, glyceryl linoleate, glyceryl linolenate, citric acid, tocopheryl acetate, pelargonium graveolens flower oil*, lavandula angustifolia flower oil*, macadamia ternifolia seed oil*, citrus grandis extract, glycine soja oil, glucose oxidase, lactoperoxidase, ascorbic acid, aloe barbadensis leaf juice*, alcohol denat., (38b, lavender*), hamamelis viginiana water, daucus carota sativa root extract, beta-carotene.

Ingredients

Lots of almond oil, soy protein and camellia oil! Camellia oil was especially used in Japan and is a famous though very expensive hair care oil. 

Fragrance

Like all AO products the fragrances are all natural and without artificial components. Which makes them pleasant for me but it is not the soapy dove smell that comes with regular drugstore products. White Camellia does not smell floral but more herbal/mossy and it has definitely some eucalyptus like fragrance. My favourite AO smell is honeysuckle rose which is a very sweet flowery smell btw! 

Effect

My hair is heavy and takes much longer to dry. The curls and waves are defined. If I do not rinse it well it leaves an oily residue. And it is an absolute frizz killer!

Review: i like green - Smoothing Serum

Heute stelle ich euch ein Produkt vor, das es erst seit kurzem auf dem Haarpflegemarkt gibt - das Smoothing Serum von ilikegreen NaturalHairCare. ilikegreen ist eine neue Tochtermarke der Firma Aubrey Organics. 

Was genau ist es also in diesem kleinen Wunderfläschchen?

Incis:

Arachis Hypogaea Oil, Olea Europapea Oil, Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil, Persea Gratissima Oil, Vitis Vinifera seed Oi, Chenopodium Quinoa Seed Extract, Phytosterole, Myristyl Lactate, Linoleic Acid, Rosmarinus Officinalis Leaf Extract, Parfum, Tocopheryl Acetate, Tocopherol, Ascorbyl Palmitate

Die Hauptbestandteile sind..

Erdnussöl, Olivenöl, Sonnenblumenöl, Avocadoöl, Traubenkernöl - weiter ist Quinoa enthalten, dadurch hat dieses Serum auch ordentlich Proteine. Quinoa ist ein Fuchsschwanzgewächs mit hohem Eisen und Mineralstoffgehalt. Als Serumbestandteil finde ich es wunderbar - durch die Proteine wird das Haar gekräftigt. Phytosterole sind pflanzliche Zellmembranbestandteile, ähnlich Cholesterin. Weiterhin ist Rosmarin Extrakt enthalten sowie Vitamin E.

Die Inhaltsstoffe finde ich alle super. Das Haaröl kommt in einem hübschen Glasflakon mit einem Tropfverschluss daher.

Duft:

Es riecht sehr fruchtig und frisch. Es ist kein künstlicher Geruch, sondern angenehm und sehr dezent mit einer Unternote Frühlingsblumen. 

Konsistenz:

Das Serum ist nicht dickflüssig sondern hat eine leichte Konsistenz - wie eben ein Öl.

Anwendung und Ergebnis:

Laut Herstellerangaben kann man das Serum als Kur verwenden , vor dem Waschen oder aber wie ein Haaröl nach der Wäsche in das feuchte Haar einarbeiten. Die empfohlene Menge sind hier 2 Tropfen, das wird jeder bestätigen können der nach einer Überdosis Ölanwendung nochmals waschen durfte :) Meine Haare sind sehr weich geworden und glänzen. Ein deutlicher Vorteil üblichem Haaröl gegenüber - es ist komplett eingezogen und hinterlässt keine öligen Spitzen. 

Fazit:

Ein tolles Produkt für alle Haartypen unter den vielen neu auf dem Markt erscheinenden Haarseren - endlich richtig gute Öle und Inhaltsstoffe anstatt Mineralöl, Silikonen und auf der letzten Stelle Arganöl, so wie sonst  die Haarseren im Drogeriemarkt zu finden sind. Nachteil ist der hohe Preis, aber dafür das man wenn man es nicht als Haarkur anwendet eine sehr lange Zeit damit auskommt finde ich ihn gerechtfertigt. Für den  rundum gelungenen Duft und die gute Wirkung gibt es,

9 von 10 Punkten.

Aubrey Organics ist eine Naturkosmetikfirma aus den Staaten, sie wurde 1967 von Aubrey Hampton gegründet. Today I want to review a very new hair product which has been on the market just about a few weeks. The company is ilikegreen, its a branch of the huge natural cosmetics company Aubrey Organics. 

Incis:

Arachis Hypogaea Oil, Olea Europapea Oil, Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil, Persea Gratissima Oil, Vitis Vinifera seed Oi, Chenopodium Quinoa Seed Extract, Phytosterole, Myristyl Lactate, Linoleic Acid, Rosmarinus Officinalis Leaf Extract, Parfum, Tocopheryl Acetate, Tocopherol, Ascorbyl Palmitate

50 ml for 29.95 Euro

So basically the base of the serum is peanut oil, followed by olive oil, sunflower seed oil and grape seed oil. Then they added quinoa extract, quinoa is a kind of corn and rich in protein, minerals and iron. Phytosterol is a cell membrane part in plants like cholesterol, more over they added linoleic acid and rosemary extract. I love the ingredients and am especially happy about the extra protein!

Fragrance: 

The fragrance is on the fruity side and has some light floral undertones. It is a pleasant smell and not too strong and overwhelming. 

Consistency:

Basically it has the consistency of a light oil. It is not sticky.

How to apply and results

I have been using it as a leave in in my entire hair after washing when it is still damp. I also used it instead of my usual coconut oil on my ends before I sleep and in the morning after combing. It is a very light product which completely vanished into my hair unlike coconut oil :) It does not leave the hair oily happily. ilikegreen also recommends you to use it as an overnight treatment, maybe on a special occasion it would be worth it though : o)  I would not do hot oil treatments with my hair simply because of the price o the product and the amount of my hair which would need to be coated. If you use it as indicated I know you will enjoy this product quite a while because of the small amounts you will need on a daily basis.  I am very happy with the softness and shine this product provides.

ein kleiner Haarnotfall

Huhu ihr Lieben!

Nun ja. Ich weiß ich vernachlässige mein Blögchen sträflich, aber ich gelobe Besserung. Zurzeit bin ich im absolut letzten Semester meines Studiums angekommen und versuche nun so schnell es geht scheinfrei zu werden, damit ich für das praktischen Jahr im Februar zugelassen werde. Genaugenommen sollte ich auch gerade jetzt lernen aber was soll's.

Heute mal ein kleiner Notfall, der schon länger in meinem Postfach wartete, den ich aber eben erst gesehen habe.

ich bin total begeistert von deinen beiden blogs! außerdem bist du total hübsch!

nun habe ich ein “haariges” problem und dachte ich frage dich als spezialistin um rat.

ich hatte naturkosmetik (alverde& sante) benutzt und seitdem sind meine haare extrem trocken und strohig (aber kein spliss). ich habe solche angst, dass sie total zerstört sind! ich habe auch bereits alles mögliche versucht, dass sie wieder sanft und weich werden:

- vor der haarwäsche massiere ich olivenöl in die spitzen u. lasse es etwas einwirken
- benutze nur wenig shampoo (haselnussgroß)& massiere es auch nur oben am haaransatz ein
- benutze warmes& kaltes wasser
- nach der haarwäsche lasse ich sie an der luft trocknen& es wird kokosöl in die spitzen einmassiert
- wasche meine haare alle 2 tage (später geht nicht, weil ich dann probleme mit meiner haut& kopfhaut bekomme)
- 2x mal die woche verwende ich eine haarkur, die ich ca. 5-10min einwirken lasse
zur haarkur: machte ich mit honig, olivenöl, zitronensaft, quark u. einer kur (z.B. von alverde) vor (wird alles zusammengemischt)

ich will meine haare nicht abschneiden müssen! (heirate nämlich auch nächstes jahr) und wie's der traum jeder frau& braut ist, möchte sie wundervolles haar, um sich wohl, sowie schön zu fühlen.

wie du siehst hatte ich bereits einiges versucht...

 Erstmal freue ich mir hier einen Keks über die Rückmeldung! Ich bekomme nämlich ziemlich wenig Feedback, deswegen weiß ich nie so  Recht ob es hier jemanden interessiert was ich vor mich hin philosophiere oder in China fällt ein Stuhl um :D  

Dann kommen wir zu den Problemen...

Das ist ein häufiges Phänomen, nach der Umstellung zur Naturkosmetik. Mir fehlen jetzt natürlich ein paar Infos, d.h. sind ihre Haare blondiert, haben sie eine Leidensgeschichte vom Frittieren (Glätten und Föhnen) hinter sich, hast du jahrelang Silikone benutzt? Ich denke mal du hast sie mittelmäßig behandelt und sie sind nicht 4 mal blond/rot/schwarz gefärbt worden ^^ 

1. Es kann sein, dass das Silikon die Haare verklebt hat und nun ist die Sili Schicht runter und die Haare die drunter immer trockener geworden sind, kommen zum Vorschein.

2. Die Marken sind zu scharf für dich. Ich persönlich habe total Probleme mit sowohl Sante und auch Alverde, beide Produkte trocknen meine sehr trockenen Haare weiter aus und meine Kopfhaut wird gereizt. Obwohl es NK ist sind in beiden Produktreihen oftmals mehr Alkohol als einem lieb ist. Hier wird es zur Konservierung verwandt - biologisch unbedenklicher als Parabene, jedoch für Haut und Haar  nicht mild und nicht das Beste.

Das ist schon mal prima. Genauso mache ich es auch seit 3 Jahren :)

Ok alle 2 Tage waschen ist nicht optimal aber auch nicht der Weltuntergang. Was für Probleme bekommst du denn? Werden sie trocken oder eher fettig? Versuche am WE noch einen Tag mehr raus zu schlagen.

Das finde ich auch super, versuche doch mal das Öl komplett in die Haare zu geben. Vor jeder Haarwäsche  mache ich eine ausgiebige Ölkur, das schützt meine Haare und man muss sie auch nicht lange einwirken lassen, sogar 15 Minuten sind schon ein Erfolg. Dein Haar zieht Öl ins Innere und "isst"sich quasi satt. Vor allem im Winter unschlagbar.Ich nehme hierfür oft günstige Öle wie Kokos oder Olivenöl. Wenn man 1-2 Tropfen ätherisches Lavendel oder Rosenöl hinzugibt, erhält man einen tollen Duft der noch ein wenig im Haar bleibt.

Ich denke dein Hauptproblem sind die Pflegeprodukte. Versuche sie zu wechseln. Im Niedrig-Preissegment finde ich Alterra wirklich toll, sowohl Shampoos als auch Haarkur und Spülung.

Wenn es auch teurer sein darf, dann Aubrey Organics. Ein Prima Kondi ist White Camelia für trockene Haare, ein gutes Shampoo das Blue Chamomille oder Honeysuckle Rose.  Ein Mittelding ist auch Lavera, das Mangomilch Shampoo und die Kur sind auch ausreichend feuchtigkeitspflegend.

Ich drücke dir alle Daumen und schneide deine Haare bloß nicht ab, die Trockenheit wirst du mit ausgiebigen Ölkuren und der richtigen Pflege in den Griff bekommen. Höchstens 1-2 cm würde ich trimmen. Liebste Grüße und alles Gute für deinen wunderschönen Tag demnächst!

Flechtzopf mit goldener Lily Ficcare

Hallo ihr Lieben!

Lily Gold Detail, leider überbelichtet in roten Hennahaaren im Sonnenlicht

Heute mal ein einfacher Flechtzopf verziert von einer Ficcare in Größe L. Ich finde ein einfacher Flechtzopf sieht immer schön aus, zeitlos, elegant und man hat die Haare aus dem Weg. Außerdem fühlen sich die Haare am Abend immer sehr schön an und haben tolle Flechtwellen. Verwendet man ein Haargummi oben an der Flechtzopfbasis kann es sein, das die Haare an dieser Stelle nach einiger Zeit anfangen zu brechen. 

Man kann aber z.B. eine Flexi nehmen, eine Haarblume oder eine Ficcare um den Flechtzopf hübscher aussehen zu lassen und so auf ein Haargummi verzichten und den meistens nicht so hübschen Anfang damit vermeiden. 

Meine Haare waren etwas überpflegt und strähnig von zuviel White Camelia Kondi und dann war der Flechtzopf eine gute Idee,  diese zu verstauen ohne erneut waschen zu müssen. Hier sieht man auch mal wieder wie unterschiedlich Henna wirkt - alle Bilder wurden zur selben Zeit aufgenommen, nur das erste im Sonnenlicht. 

Vor dem Flechten - ein paar Tropfen Öl als Leave-In 

Falls meine Haare mal nicht von einer Kur überpflegt sind, dann nehme ich vor dem Flechten ein paar Tropfen Arganöl und verteile es im Haar - bis zum Abend ist es dann vollständig von den Haaren aufgenommen und sie sind ganz pflegeleicht und glänzen. Mein Arganöl habe ich aus einem "VomFass" Laden, es ist ein Bioöl und 100 ml kosten ca. 10 Euro. Ich weiß es ist sehr teuer, aber es lohnt sich für mich und mit einer kleinen Flasche kommt man ganz lange aus, wenn man es nur als Leave-In Pflege verwendet so wie ich. Für meine reichhaltigen Ölkuren nehme ich lieber Oliven oder Kokosnussöl :) - wirkt gut und ist viel günstiger .

Lustig da würde man denken der Flechtzopf hört gar nicht mehr auf ( schön wärs ;) ) , Flechtzopf mit Lily gold
