Todays topic is Hair in Snow and Ice! Since I have not seen one single snowflake this winter it was really hard for me! But I remembered that I had a Snow-Queen Shelot which is a hair accessory that can hold a cinnamon bun and I decided that picture with this beauty will do justice to our topic :D 

It is made by Ravenslair - she is very talented and a great artist. Most of her pieces are inspired by fantasy, fairytales and magic. Very well made and she does custom orders as well. Go have a look at her Etsy-Shop, she is currently on vacation though.

As for winter hair care, I have been following the Liquid/Oil/Cream Method lately. I am sure most of you have heard about it - it is a way to seal moisture and oil in your hair. First you apply your favourite liquid - can be aloe vera water or a hydrosole, then your favourite oil and then a light hair cream. Stay tuned for an entire blogpost on the topic :) I wish we had more snow. I remember my days in Canada when the temperature dropped below -20 and even breathing was hard and pinched like a thousand little icicles. Do you like the colder seasons? I am actually excited for spring and summer, when the days get longer and are lighter.

Graydog Haistick im Cinnamon Bun

Huhu ihr Lieben!

Heute mal ein weiteres Haarschmuckbild mit einem meiner absoluten Lieblingshaarstäbe - einem Graydog Hairstick. Das Modell heißt "At The Seashore". Ich habe ihn vor einigen Jahren als Customorder bei Graydog bestellt. Leider stellen Sie keine Haarstäbe mehr her, das finde ich sehr Schade. Ihr Stäbe waren immer wirklich etwas besonderes, wenn auch in einer hohen Preisklasse. Das letzte mal das sie etwas verkauft haben war 2010, hier kann man bei Etsy ein paar der verkauften Stäbe sehen. 

Wer eine Alternative sucht wird vielleicht im nachfolgenden Link fündig. Ähnliche Stäbe macht Kathy von Barefoot Maiden . Barefoot Maiden ist auch um einiges günstiger als Graydog, für meinen Stick habe ich damals über 70 Euro gezahlt. Graydog verwendet Sterling Silber bei der Herstellung und der Haarstab ist aus Acryl, der hellblaue Stein ist ein Aquamarin.

Hallo ihr Lieben.

Ich habe letztens meinen Haarschmuck durchgeschaut und entdeckt, das ich einige Stücke fast gar nicht trage. Damit sich dies ändert werde ich jetzt täglich meinen Haarschmuck wechseln und dann wenn ich es zeitlich schaffe auch Bilder posten. Heute mal ein wirklich vernachlässigtes Schmuckstück; eine Grahtoe Threnody. Sie ist sehr groß und schwer uns es ist gar nicht so leicht sie ohne ziepen im Haar zu befestigen. Birdseye Maple ist Ahorn und es hat wunderschöne kleine perlenförmige Einschlüsse die an Tautropfen erinnern und leicht glitzern. Hier findet ihr den Shop . Allerdings machen sie gerade Sommerpause. 

Tracy und Kimi sind die Shopbetreiber und wirklich liebe und tolle Leute, sie kommen auch gerne Sonderwünschen entgegen verschicken schnell und zuverlässig und die Qualität ist immer top.
