Up-Do of the Week : Dutch Perimeter Braid

This week we have a little bit of a change from the usual buns - 

it is a simple braid that looks fancy because it is done in a perimeter fashion. 

Instructions:

• first you start to dutch braid beginning at your right ear, 
• you add strands only under your braid not over like in a french braid 
• once you reach the left ear, you slightly pull your braid away and down from your face
• only add strands to the right strand until they finish
• after you finish braiding try to fluff it up a little by gently pulling the loops apart

This technique is called ''perimeter-braiding''. It looks complicated but it is really simple. I hope you will enjoy the braided look - is is very feminine from the front since your braid will rest on your left shoulder.  :)

Hallo ihr Hübschen! 

Diese Woche mal eine Abwechslung zu den sonstigen Dutts - 

eine einfache Flechtfrisur die trotzdem kompliziert aussieht. 

Anleitung:

• Fange an ueber dem rechten Ohr zu flechten und flechte hollaendisch bis du zum linken Ohr kommst. 
• Dann ziehe den Zopf etwas weg von deinem Gesicht nach unten aussen.
• Nehme nur noch Straehnen zum inneren Strang hinzu.
•  Ziehe die Schlafen nach dem Flechten etwas auseinander.

Voila - das wars schon :) Dieser Zopf ist ein sehr weicher femininer Look der besonders huebsch von vorn aussieht, weil der Zopf auf eurer Schulter ruht. Gefaellt euch der seitliche hollaendische Zopf oder moegt ihr lieber schlichte mittige Zopefe?

Up-Do of the Week: The braided Bun

It is wednesday and this means another week another hair do and another hair toy! This weeks up do is my standard braided bun and held by a large primavera gold as an innovation clip. Now, I know that a lot of people are not sure how to use it: You have to use it like you would use a hairstick and open it just a few cm insert it and it will stay put rock solid for the rest of the day!

Es ist wieder Mittwoch und das heisst : Zeit fuer eine neue Frisur und einen neuen Dutt! Dieser Woche ein einfacher Flechtdutt mit einer Primavera Innovation in gold. Ich weiss das viele Maedels etwas unsicher sind ob der Clip denn auch haelt und wie man ihn verwendet - es ist eigentlich ganz einfach! Man verwendet ihn wie einen Haarstab und oeffnet ihn nur einige cm - der Dutt haelt fest und wird den ganzen Tag an Ort und Stelle bleiben. 

Habt ihr auch einen Innovation Clip oder traut ihr dem Halt nicht und nehmt lieber normale Maximas?

Up-Do of the Week - The Orchid Bun & Opera

It' wednesday and this means time for a new hairstyle and hairstick! This week I learned the Orchid Bun - a really pretty, big and extremely sturdy bun! Who knew! It was originally invented by AnaisSatin from the LHC. Here is the original Link. I am happy I discovered this beauty and since I could not find any video tutorial I decided to make my own tutorial. It has a more upright form and is similar to a figure-8 bun - but this one is prettier and it does not tuck at your roots like the figure-8! The hair fork is again made by Senza Limiti. This week I finished all my jewelry of SL - I have three pieces and it is time for something new :p .

Instructions:

1. Start with a high ponytail
2. Twist your hair and form an inverted U-shape
3. Flip the whole twist to one side
4. Wrap the remaining hair around the base
Tadaaa - easy , right?

Es ist wieder Mittwoch - Zeit fuer einen neuen Dutt und eine neue Haarforke ! Diese Woche habe ich den Orchid Bun gelernt, hier ist der original Link, AnaisSatin aus der LHC hat ihn erfunden. Er ist sehr bequem, gross, huebsch und er haelt einfach prima! Wer haette das gedacht! Er sieht ein wenig wie der Figure8 Bun aus, aber er ist ein wenig breiter und im Gegensatz zum Figuren zieht er nicht an den Haarwurzeln nach Befestigung. Es wird einer meiner neuen Standarddutts - definitiv :-D. Die Haarforke ist von SenzaLimiti mal wieder, es ist eine Opera. Dann bin ich jetzt mit meiner kleinen SL Sammlung durch - ich glaube ich brauche definitiv mehr ^^.

Hier noch einmal die

Anleitung:

1. Mache einen hohen Pferdeschwanz
2. Zwirbel die Haare und lege sie zu einem umgedrehten U
3. Flippe die U Form auf die Seite
4. Wickel die Enden im die Basis
5. Stecke einen Haarstab von oben bis nach unten durch den Dutt

Tadaa - einfach oder? :)

Up-Do of the Week: Brioche Bun & SenzaLimiti Norsi

The Brioche Bun is one of the Up-Do's that I always found extremely lovely and elegant but never quite managed to recreate - but now we conquered this one too! It is the second week of the hairstyle and jewellery challenge ! I have not been wearing this norsi hair fork for quite a while - I should wear it more often for sure! It looks pretty elegant but still toned down enough to wear it for work. I have some trouble to secure the fork, but once placed in the right spot it has a good holding power in my opinion. By the way it is named after the bread like brioche bread rolls - with me it looks similar to a celtic knot - but it is more of a knot bun that you actually flip down.

Die zweite Woche der neuen Dutt - Serie - diesmal der Bioche Dutt! Diesen Dutt fand ich schon seit Ewigkeiten wunderschoen, habe es aber nie geschafft ihr nachzubauen, aber mit genug Hartnäckigkeit geht alles im Leben. Die Norsi Forke habe ich nicht sehr oft getragen - das sollte sich ändern! Sie ist sehr elegant und schlicht, aber dennoch gut im Alltag tragbar finde ich. Sie ist schwer zu befestigen, aber wenn sie einmal an Ort und Stelle sitzt haelt es auch prima. Der Dutt ist nach den Brioche Broetchen benannt :) Wenn ich ihn trage sieht er dem keltischen Knoten sehr aehnlich, irgendwo sollte noch eine 4te Schlafe sein - nur wo? Man macht einen Haarknoten und dann klappt man ihn einfach nach unten weg. Es fuehlt sich alles ziemlich locker an, aber irgendwie haelt es dann doch ueberraschend gut.

Moegt ihr den Brioche Bun oder ist er euch nicht ''standfest'' ^^ genug?

Up-Do of the Week - Rosina Golden Roses

I think I need more variance in my daily Up-Do's! I am usually doing braids and I really neglected my hair sticks, forks and Flexis :) . I want to change this and I am staring now! If you also wear your most favourite pieces day by day and always in the same Up-Do - let's change it together! I want to take at  least one weekly picture (if not more!) each time with a different Up-Do and hair piece - let's see if I can make it on time! The golden roses are very light, and hold an Up-Do very well. They are plated copper and I got them a few years ago from Senza Limiti. My hair was damp and drying in the Up-Do. They are water-proof of course. 

How about you, do you wear all hair jewellery that you have or do you tend to use the same things all the time?

Ich weiss ja nicht wie es euch geht - aber ich brauche mehr Abwechslung bei meinen Dutts! Meistens trage ich ja sowieso Flechtzöpfe und ich habe meine Staebe, Forken und Flexis wirklich ganz schoen vernachlässigt! Ich werde das jetzt aendern und fange heute damit an! Ich habe mir vorgenommen mindestens einmal woechentlich, wenn nicht noch öfter einen neue Frisur und auch einen neuen Haarschmuck zu tragen - ich hoffe es klappt gut und puenktlich :) Ich werde die neuen Posts auf Mittwoch terminieren , quasi ein Wochenpost sowie die Sonntagslieblinge die es ab und an gibt. Die Rosenhaarstaebe habe ich vor einigen Jahren von Senza Limiti gekauft , die sind sehr leicht stabil und super zu tragen. Meine Haare haben in dem Dutt vor sich hingetrocknet - quasi als anti-frizzball Schutz :-D . Natuerlich sind die Stäbe wasserfest. 

Wie geht es euch so, tragt ihr auch staendig die gleiche Frisur mit den selben Schmuckstücken oder tragt ihr wirklich alles was ihr so habt?
